Default throttle pedal stcking

2000 ds electric cart , the gas pedal half the time wont come back up enough to close solenoid . I can tap with it my foot and then I can here the click. at times it wont return at all when pressed all the way to the floor ( its fun when you come to the turn at the top of the hill). This all started in the last few days, I looked underneath and everything seems fine and couldn't get it to stick down, but once again tonight I had the same problem, no click when off when going slow to a stop and it stuck once to the floor .

any help would be great

You have a V-Glide or a pot under the floor next to the pedal? If V-Glide, something may be causing the wiper arm to get caught up inside of the case. Also, you could adjust the throttle rod length slightly to allow for the microswitch inside to close the solenoid with pedal up. This can also be done on the rubber pedal stop under the floor near the pedals. Lastly, your pedal spring could be fouled up somehow, best thing to do is crawl under and have someone work the pedal (cart off , in neutral, and key out, of course ) and see what's going on. If it's a pot switch setup under the floor then someone else will have to chime in, I'm not too familiar with those.

Try lubricating all pivoting joints on the pedal and linkage with WD-40 or something similar....sounds like it is sticking!!
