Can these batteries be saved?

Had a little trouble doing something stupid last night by driving in sand. Ended up melting 2-3 negative battery posts on my 36v cluster. I know I seen people repair a melted post by drilling a hole but is there a way to repair a battery that looks like there a hole right next to the post that goes right through to the inside perhaps? See photos.

Yes I saw that before and read over it a few times. Not sure it addresses my issues of having a hole next to the post. As you can see in picture the bolt holding the wire is fine. It's just that it looks like the edge of the post base melted and opened up a hole to what's below post perhaps. I need to figure if that's repairable. Epoxy?

You might call your local battery distributor and ask if they repair posts... I had some posts replaced professionally for a customer once.

RTV will work well. It doesn't last forever, but it's cheap enough if you have to do it over! Clean as best you can around the area with " break parts cleaner " or other cleaner that evaporates oil free. Only put the material on a rag! You do not want to get any of this into the battery! I had an area near the bottom of one of my batteries wear through ( my own fault ) because I didn't have them secured. I used RTV and it has lasted for over a year now. If this worked for me ( near the bottom of my battery ) I'm sure it will work for you!
I would also replace any of the cables that got burned. They will not carry current well enough again.

Definitely replace those cables!!! I can't tell, but they look like factory 6 gauge,

go with a heavier set of 4 gauge cables if those are stockers I see on there!!

Any of you guys buy any of those 4 gauge cable sets on eBay for like $30? Wonder what the catch is.

Ive never got any off ebay, usually get mine at a local cart shop where I get a 10% dicount (lets just say I'm there a LOT). GolfCartKing (site sponsor) has em for $25. Seems right in line for a set of #4 cables IMO.
