Default lighting problems

I have a 2008 precedent club car. I'm having a problem with the brake light staying on all the time. If I turn the key on the tail light come on, IF I turn the headlights on the rear lights are brighter. I have checked the pad on the brake pedal and the little pedal thing is soft and seems to be working. I really don't know where to look.
Sure could use some help.

Thanks all.

Does your brake pedal have the pressure sensor underneath the pedal pad or the shark-fin style sensor underneath the brake pedal?

Remove the floormat and un-plug the two wires for the pressure sensor from the wire harness in the floor and see if your headlights work properly without affecting your brake lights. Do you have turn signals?

Be more specific. What light? The brake lights? They're not supposed to work when it's unhooked. I'm trying to figure out why your headlights are causing them to change brightness.
