Default IQ car dies while running on flat ground

2002 IQ stops running while on flat ground.I've changed Mcor,Solenoid,Speed control and the add on short wiring harness to the switch on the F&R(Part #102355201)The only thing left is the speed sensor or the motor.Car runs fine for a few hundred feet then dies completely, when you let up on the throttle after it stops you can hear the solenoid reset itself, then step on the pedal and it goes again!!This car has almost driven me CRAZY!!!!Any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks HK Miller

It's called solenoid dropout. Very common on the 2002 IQ carts. You will need a dropout harness. I had to get one for my 2002 IQ. Or is that the short harness you already purchased.? I'm going to have to go back thru my threads and see if that # 102355201 is the same one I got.

Ok now you said you put a short wiring harness to the f/r switch? #102355201. That short harness goes to the end of the run/tow switch!! If you put it on the F/R switch it isn't going to help!! It has to go just behind the and on the Run/Tow switch.

Thanks Cart trader,The small harness will only attach one way on the wiring harness coming off the run/tow switch. It did not make any difference.I do not have a hand held Club Car computer so I'm shooting in the dark!!

if there is a resistor on the solenoid, take it off and see if it still does it. If it fixes it, replace it.
