Fishing dude...you do not have to apologize for me....I did not think I was being rude to anyone, that is not my style...I was just asking questions regarding this post, I did not understand, if you take off the both leads where does the obc get it power for the reset...this is a forum and I was just chiming in on the main subject as I may have a similar problem like thatguy123..my apologies to you if my question caused you to get a red gluteus maxmus
regards,
Kas

i myself don,t think you were being rude more like you seemed i was butting in and i was, to answer your question all your doing when you try and unlock the OBC is getting any amount of voltage out of the controller so you don,t smoke it and the reverse buzzer will fade slowly away by pressing the pedal slowly down getting rid of the last little bit of voltage thats why you don,t need power...............now if you prefer i stay out of this say so and i will but we do try and help each other out and waiting for just a response from one person means you,ll wait that much longer......if you hang around long enough you,ll see what i mean..............cheers.....................

Kas to me you were rude by blowing off Tom who was trying to help you. I am busy as stated before and can't spend time in here as I would like. The reset is done by putting the OBC in a nutral state so it has no memory to start, so when hooked up it thinks it's new. There are many things that can be wrong to cause the light to blink, from the obc in backwards to being bad resetting just it a tool to make sure that what is making the light blink was a one time fault.

WHOA....This this thing is getting out of hand....You both have a lot to offer, and I value your opinions!! you guys seem to know what you are talking about, SOOOO do not stop with your valued shared data....I, being a retired electronic engineer, and when I ask a question I want a more specific answer rather than general statement...So lets all be friends and go on.....Fishing Dude you have a lot on your plate with going to school, working on your house and working your have a lot on your plate, I know been there and done that..you need to be commended for your efforts.
In good health and world peace

no problems here as i said i,m just trying to be helpful..........if you don,t need it from me all you need do is say so.............so i don,t forget once your reverse buzzer quits to the point you can,t hear it turn the key off and leave the cart sit that way for about 3 minutes if the OBC is locked up it than can be reset you,ll know it when you hook everything back up but keep in mind all locked up OBC,s won,t respond to this..........i don,t know why but they won,t......................good luck with it...............................

I've been wanting to say this for 2 days...

If you (or anybody reading this...) have a Tow/Run switch...

Always... ALWAYS have it in Tow before disconnecting or connecting the batteries!
(Or, any other electrical connections for that matter!)
to some... it maybe common place, but to others... it may not!

Whew... I feel better!

Kas just want everyone to be treated with respect in here, and what they have to offer is valuable. Yes I am busy work 42 hrs week, School 10 hrs a week, and home gets whats left. I take that others don't want to know more, I have taken old obc appart with no luck on finding anything out. I have electronic training from Navy days, I do machinery repair at work on all equipment, and do total home repair , and renovation. I sometimes alot forget others don't have the experiance that I have or a need to know more. We as a group have knowlage on carts, I learned mine from help from Tom, and rebuilding the system on my wifes cart. I have since repaired many carts charging system in the association which I live most of the time just for the cost of parts, and knowlage gained. The school part of my life now is for a jorneyman card at work, that I just started I've been outt of school for 30 years and just getting in the swing of it.
