Proper wire gauge for charger receptacle to battery

Hey folks-

I'm wiring up my 1990 Club Car DS as part of a restoration build (see thread here:)

My base cart had no wiring, and I've come to the point where I'm ready to wire up my charging receptacle.

What is the appropriate wire gauge to go from the receptacle to the #1, #6 batteries?

I believe the club car round plug is a 22 amp max, so I would say #10

Thanks. 10ga was my initial "gut" feeling as well, especially since I already have some of it.

10g is adequate for all types of charger to battery connections.
