Default Surging club car??

I have a 99 48 volt club car. I hit the gas and it moves along normally, then slows down like 20% then every once in a while it picks back up? Another symptom is after fully charged batteries drain down to zero after about a week. They test good with a load tester??? I disconnected ground last week before leaving and today they all tested good.

maybe a poorly adjusted v-glide/throttle linkage not reaching 100%. when you have a 5 step v-glide, 1 step = 20% throttle loss. try letting up on throttle then "smacking" it back to the floor to see if it is throttle adjustment related.

Yes, take the cover off the v-glide and while the cart is off and in neutral, push down on the go pedal and see if the arm is smoothly going all the way up and all the way back down. Also check the copper contacts to make sure they are nice and shiny.

No it wasn't. Look under the floorboard and see if there's a black box by where your go pedal comes through. If you're not seeing the Vglide then my guess is this is the type of throttle system you have, its called a continuously variable potentiometer.

I do not have the v glide thing. I believe it is a 99 but it was lifted and modified.

Here ya go. This is a 2004 but with the same system. The black box is a MCOR, motor control output regulator. There is a splined shaft that goes from this to the arm if the pedal. Bothe these pieces will wear over time, at least ours do What I do for any easy and cheap fix...put a wire tie around the part if the splined shaft that attaches to the pedal...
