Added a soft surfboard rack. Then put on an old early 80s model surfboard which has been useless, other than being a pretty decoration in the backyard or garage.

When we go out to the pasture to shoot skeet, I take the board off and put the shotguns up there.

Also bought a set of ebay knobby wheels that should arrive early this next week. To handle the cow poop and mud.

Got my "new" to me wheels yesterday, and installed them. They are 1" taller, not sure if that takes into account the extra height of the knobbies or not.

I have a very slight rub on hard left turns but nothing I am going to worry about or do anything about.

Looks good, and the "new" wheels don't have any dry-rot cracks in them, like my old ones.

Just gps'd it with new tires and went from 11 mph with occasional 12 to 15 with occasional 16!

You should be able to get through the "squishy" areas now!
Keep an eye on the temp of your cables and motor! Bigger tires draw more juice! :)

Tomorrow I will be getting a 21" led bar to mount up front so I can see when out in the pastures at night. Searching on here (assuming it would be a common upgrade) and trying to find out if a jetski or motorcycle battery will work. So far, have not found the answer. I need to try out some different keywords...

Don't really want a full-size car battery added. Will be recharging after each use.

Amp hr rating of battery will tell you how long your thrifty LEDs will run. Plenty use a motorsport battery with success.

Awesome! That is what I wanted to hear. I don't plan on using for more than an hour or two per night. And I did not want an extra 40 lb battery on board.

I also did not want to wire into one of my existing batteries and throw off the even weardown.

Oh no, we have another Maverick / Comet owner on the board!

If you think Mavericks are addictive, just wait until you start modifying these things!

The good part is we can find parts for carts in plenty of places other than the Maverick / Comet board like we're used to.

To answer your question about the battery, even if it is a little late, some Precedent owners have mounted a mobility scooter battery in the dash area for their accessories.

Sorry for not seeing that you joined until now,

Hey, Good to see you around here!

I put my little battery in the dash, as you said. I still have not figured out how to secure it so it doesn't flop around, but once it stops raining and I can get out to finish installation, I don't think it will be too big of a deal to make it stay put.
