Default Need help with DS Club Car Problem

My father-in-law has a DS. He thinks it is an 08. He has an upgraded motor (He says it's called the beast). He is having a problem with accelerating. When he presses the pedal, it gets to about 1/3 before it begins to move. It continues to move at the same speed as you press the pedal until it reaches about 2/3 and then it really takes off. This is the same for forward and reverse.

He brought it over for me to look at and I started by checking the batteries. They weren't fully charged but the readings were 49V across the entire bank. Each individual battery reads 8.1V with one of them reading 8.2V. I checked the MCOR and it seemed to increase/decrease linearly between 0 and 5.55 Kohms.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer.

. . . how far does GO pedal travel before you hear it "click"? Check for wear at mating point of GO Pedal and MCOR input shaft . . . 1/32" - 1/16" of wear makes a huge impact on throttle response . . .

Thanks, I will check that.
I watched the linkage from the pedal to the MCOR while he pushed the pedal and I didn't notice anything that seemed wrong but I wasn't really looking for that small of an issue. I have included a few pictures of what I'm looking at if I can make it work.

I remember noticing that there was a relay click when the pedal was pressed and I think it was immediately when it was pressed. I also noticed during my evaluation that there appeared to be two relays. I listened for them to click. I couldn't tell if both of them were clicking so I placed my hand on them as the pedal was pressed and it only felt like one of them was clicking. I don't know if that would make any difference or not.
