Charger stopped working
I have a 48 v club car. Last time I tried to plug it in the charger never turned on. I'm assuming its a charger issue but is there anything on the cart that could have gone wrong??

Re: Charger stopped working
could be the obc, or on board computer, or maybee just a relay inside the charger
Also could just be very low pack voltage, not allowing the charger to come on, when was the last time you charged the batts? |

Re: Charger stopped working
check pack voltage, and also, each batt
I see you are here in FLA, was your charger plugged into the wall, maybe a power surge or a lightning strike nearby. My initial thought is your pack voltage is to low to let the charger come on, maybe a couple weak batts. If so then replace bad batts and go from there |

It wouldn't surprise me at all the batteries were bad. Even know they were new when I bought the car my charger is not a fluke charger and I didn't realize that for the first couple of years. I had planned on getting a flu charger so I can keep them charge properly but I will probably have to get new batteries also. Not exactly sure how to test the batteries so I may have to bring them somewhere to be tested

Is there a way to he the batteries to charge at all?? I know they will all need replacement in the fall but I need to drive it to do some repairs. My household charger is only 6 or 12 volt.....not 8 volt
