Default Hill/Park brake wont catch, new lift kit.

I just put a 6" A-arm lift kit in my 06 Club Car DS. And now the hill brake wont catch, I dont know if it was like this befor as I just bought this cart and put the lift kit in. I checked the cables and they seem to to OK, To me it seems like there might be a little slop in the rod that goes side to side but it does not look fun to take apart....Any suggestions?

If the teeth are not worn very much pop the rod off upper ball on brake pedal and do the adjustment from there see if that resolves the issue.

I bet when you added the lift its pulling on the brake cables. I know sometimes you have to even get new brake cables being they will be too short once the lift is added. I just lifted one on Monday, but my cables were long enough. If the cart is pulling on the cables, it’s possible you can just loosen the brakes (under the floor mat) a little to fix the issue. Adding some slack should fix your parking brake.

If adding some slack from the adjustment under the cart you can buy a brake cable extender for the DS model. That will give you about two more inches or a pair of 2001 and up EZ go brake cables will solve the problem.

Don't forget to remove the clip holding the cables up on the rear springs, every 6" lift I have done the brake cable was too tight with the clip.
