Default Finding a used Club Car

Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about finding a used cart that would be a good "winter project" for a rookie? I have been watching the paper and looking for local listings on ebay. Most everything I find "runs great".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have any golf courses near by try seeing if they have any they would like to sell or try going online and see if there are any used or reconditioned carts dealers in your area sounds like you want used over reconditioned but check who knows maybe you'll find something that is cheap but not a basket case either

I recommend putting a "wanted" ad on your local craigslist. I just got two carts in the past 3 days, and spent less than $200 for the pair ($50 for one, $125 for the other). I found about 10 others in various stages, some running some not, for anywhere from $200 to $1500 (and up of course). If buying one without batteries or a charger, don't pay much because the batteries will cost you $450 on up, and charger another $200 on up (usually UP). Both of my latest carts had batteries, one had the charger as well (The one for $125 was complete except for seats and the motor was damaged).

You can find some good deals out there if you poke around a bit, and put the right ads on the free lists.

You are making the best start possible...research! Most newbies write in I just got used Bigstinker cart from Bolivia it was in a river but looks like fun.... anyone got a wiring diagram or parts?
The reply is usually 'Not ever!' .......So first decide what you want the cart to do and look like before you start...Now I'm going to give you the best advise. Buy a cart from one of the 3 major makers. Why? Because
they are proven to work, aftermarket parts are available and they have resale value!
So look through the members carts and read alot of threads while you wait for your cart to show up ....Good luck!
