Default '05 Precedent Problems

Just got an '05 Precedent 4 x 12v cart. 95% of the time it runs fine, but occasionally when I try to take of it just won't go. When I push down the accelerator I can hear it click but it won't take off. Is this common & what can be done.

It is also very SLOW. What, if anything, can be done about that?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! TIA!

You could have a faulty MCOR, or possibly a bad speed sensor.
Do a speed sensor test:
1.) Put the cart on level ground
2.) With the cart on, in Forward, and the parking brake not set, get out and attempt to push the cart forward.
3.)The cart should beep and resist the forward motion.

If it doesn't, you have yourself a bad speed sensor.
When a speed sensor goes bad, the cart goes into limp mode of 8 mph.
This could account for your slow speed.

Let's start with that.

Thanks. I will start there first.
