'07 Club Car Precedent 12-8volt Conversion
Guys, I am in need of some help!!
I am trying to convert my cart from 4-12vlt batteries to 6-8vlt batteries & also replace my Battery Bucket. My Battery bucket has a crack down the middle of it. Well, I just found that the Battery bucket is bolted on but for the life of me I can't find what it is bolted to under the bottom of the cart. Attached is a picture of the bolt on the topside in the battery bucket but I can't find the bolt underneath the bottom of the cart. Has someone done this before? Can someone give me some advice here? |

Thanks Crashtest, I will see if I can get them out. It does look like 4 but mine seem to either be rounded or I cannot find the correct size wrench.

Theyre self tappers. Threaded into frame beam. No nut. The head was once 10mm before the corrosion got to it. Use a grinder and cut the heads off. Pull the bucket out. Grind bolts down to frame. Install new bucket. Make new holes with new bolts

Re: '07 Club Car Precedent 12-8volt Conversion
Thanks for the help guys.
Looks like I finally got it. The heads were so corroded that I hammered a 9mm socket on them & got them out. Now I can get to work putting this whole thang together. |

Re: '07 Club Car Precedent 12-8volt Conversion
Update,
I have removed the Battery bucket & am now in the process of getting ready to configure my cart for the installation of the 12-8vlt conversion kit. Has anyone done this before? I was reviewing the instructions tonight and noticed that the Controller & Solenoid will not be mounted in the Battery bucket but instead will be on a metal bracket that will be underneath the cart above the Motor. Is this a safe option for a Lifted Off-Road Cart? Won't the Controller be subjected to getting wet while driving through the woods & mudholes? How do you get around this issue? See the attached photo: |

Is it the factory conversion kit? The factory kit has a cover that somewhat protect the electronics from the elements.
