Curious
2007 club car precedent IQ serial number starts with PQ, 48 volts, all stock other than a speed magnet in motor, and lift kit and tires 23"
went for ride today, and came home with products from NAPA to clean battery terminals. Sprays terminals with cleaner. let it set. then hosed it off. I have hosed the batteries off before with no problems so wasnt worried. went inside and came back to spelling something burning. the precharge resistor. connecting the red and the yellow wire on the solinoid was heating up and smoking. I imediatley unhooked the batteries. after it cooled and cart had time to dry off I hooked everyting back up, and tried it. the solinoid would not click, and cart would not move. the precharge resistor was still getting hot. so I unhooked everything. and called my cart repairman to come get it tomorrow. does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? should I not use water to clean batteries? thanks for input if any.
