Default 20 hours later, still wont run

Hey guys

I have had this Club Car DS 2002 36v for the summer, i love it. It ran great until a week ago when it just stopped.

Im getting no click in the solenoid. ive read a ton of posts and cant figure this out. I have the technical service manual. Its not the key switch, its not the switch on the FR switch. i think it may be the switch in the V-Glide. is there a way to check to see if that switch is it?

I changed the solenoid last night because it was horrible looking.

Any ideas of what else it could be would be great.

Sorry i cant post pics yet, i had some of the solenoid.

Figured out the problem! It was the micro switch on the v-glide switch.

So I got a new one and I started replacing it but nothing actually hits the switch it looks like. Is there supposed to be a clip that depresses the micro switch when the accelerator releases and opens the circuit? If not, what else could I do?

Your wiper arm as you move lever should activate the microswitch make sure nothing else came off or the wipe itself didnt come out of adjustment forgive me as i.M doing this by phone and i can just barely see what i.M reading and typing.

So i have been working on this cart for a way too long now. and cant figure it out. This is where i am at. drove cart up my driveway and shut it down and when i went to pull in garage it wouldnt go.

1) diagnosed and found the microswitch in the v-glide was bad and replaced it.
2) after replacement i still was not getting any clicking in solenoid. Replaced Solenoid.
3)after replacing solenoid still no solenoid click when pressing accelerator
4) diagnosed and found the anti-arching limit switch on F/R switch was bad. Replaced that microswitch, but that switch was not the exact same switch as i replaced. The new one had three terminals just like the one that was in v-glide. the mechanic at the golf cart store said it would work the same as the old one if i wired it the same way. Makes sense, but now i am not sure. Anyways after replacing it i tried the accelerator again and had the blue wire that connects to that switch start to melt/smoke and the v-glide was also smoking (im not sure what was smoking in the v-glide because i couldnt get battery out fast enough and get cover off)

Now i am at a stand still. i had been using the service manual from 1996 and there are a few parts that are different. tonight i got the updated service manual for 1999-2002 and parts manual for 2002.

I have a feeling it could be the F/R switch, but i am not sure. what should i do next? has anyone ever had this problem?

I am stumped!

Everything should be right, now my problem is when i hit the accelerator, the blue wire going to the key switch starts smoking. not sure what it could be. i think it must be the F/R switch.

Any ideas anyone?

If your burning up wires, you have a short somewhere. The term short also refers to having your wiring incorrect, ie... positive connected to negative. So when you are hitting your accelerator, somehow your blue "melting" wire is being connected to ground.
