Default New Batteries

Changing cart from 36volt to 48 volt. So Getting new batteries. Need to find out pros and cons on... 6x 8 volt or 8x 6 volt batteries. Also good and bad on diff brand batteries. '96 CC on 25" tires, 2g wire, 500 Alltrax controller and will be used for hunting.

6-8volts fits in your battery tray. 8-6volts will add some more range (not sure how much with your set up) and weight (~130 lbs), and you gotta mount them and keep them accessible for battery maint. I would add a Scotty B battery meter to monitor your batts when out in the bush. Guess it depends on how much range you need for hunting.

This chart (credit johnnyb on the ezgo side) shows some comparisons on popular batteries. The conventional wisdom is to buy as much amp hours storage as you can afford keeping in mind the intended use of the cart. There is a 6v battery chart like this if you would like it. Data is about a year old I think so might be some model number changes.
