Battery charger question
I am taking possession later today of my new used customized cart, how do I check to assure that the battery charger actually works.
I have never had a large charger like carts use, I have a small 12V charger with a gauge that makes a buzzing sound and tells me how many volts it is charging. There must be some basic checks other then turning it on. it is a 48v cart. |

Re: Battery charger question
When you plug it in, it should peg around 15-20 amps for a few short seconds, then turn off, then immediately back on. This way you will know that the OBC system is functioning properly.
Ideally, you should see if it completes it charge cycle, which can take up to 16 hours depending on how discharged the batteries were... |
