Default 08 precedent

two questions:
first: where would the high speed chip be located?(just purchased cart)
second: would a high speed chip make the cart surge at low and intermediate speeds?

1.) Club Car does not use chips like EZGO does. Instead, they use codes that are entered into the controller with a programmer that CC dealers have. What is your serial number? Your cart is probably an IQ model, which has 4 different codes.
2.) Does it only surge at low speed? What is your top speed with the go pedal all the way down?

Just curious, mine shows a PQ model. Does that use multiple programmed codes also?

How much does a dealer normally charge to program?

PQ is a Precedent IQ cart, meaning it has 4 programmable codes.
Typically 1-3 should be free to program, and code 4 is $100 at a dealer.
Actually pricing may vary...
