Very gingerly try and wedge a couple of flat blade screw drivers on each side. so you can pry, this will be slow and you have to be somewhat careful cause you can crack the differential housing if you apply too much pressure, but it can take a good bit of abuse, just make sure you are applying pressure exactly 180* apart so it is not binding. You may need to use a hammer to get the screw drivers started. If you can get it to move back about an 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch, to where you can get a long straw of a WD-40 can in there you can soak the shaft liberally, then push the motor back towards the differential, then pry back out and repeat that process, it will allow the WD-40 to get in the splines and it should come off with a little effort, again, your biggest challenge is getting that initial space to get the straw in there.

I just did this yesterday, just be patient, and work it till you can get that straw in there. I had to slide the motor in and out about 5 times on the soaked WD-40 shaft before it came on off.

When putting it back on, apply anti-seeze compound to the splines.

No you really do not want to go that route. You have a great chance of having problems, at least that is my opinion. Worst case what you can do, assuming this is a GE motor, is to move the the four long bolts that are on the end cap that secure the motor end cap to the can. The remove the two screws on each side of the speed sensor that holds the end cap and bearing together, removed the end cap, then slide the can and brushes off, exposing the armature stuck to the shaft.

You'll have to remove the shock and tire to do this.

Then once the armature is exposed, you can get to the transaxle shaft and motor coupler to get enough penetrating oil into the splines, you could even hit the couple with a torch for a minute if needed to expand it. You'll be able to remove everything with out destroying it, just take care to NOT pry on or drop the armature or your motor will be ruined.

Assembly is pretty each just reverse of what you did.
