Default Mid 90s club car ds runs without key on

Hello to all. I just picked up a mid 90s club car ds 36 volt with solenoids and resistor coils on it. It will run when you put the gear selector in forward and reverse with the key off and the pedal not depressed. Good thing i put stands under it first. Can someone give me an idea to begin to look for the problem please

I would pop the cover off the v-glide (pie shaped box in battery compartment) and see if the wiper arm is all the way down when the pedal is not depressed. It may need to be adjusted.

This cart has the micro switches on the pedal inside the lil box. No v glide on here

Can you post your serial number?
And it does have resistor coils right?

Ok I see. I thought all these carts used v-glides. Is the box with the microswitches under the cart or in the battery compartment?

Crash is right, I would bet on the solenoid. Most people replace them all if they find one bad one.
