What is the black box bolted through the frame rail of a 2003 club car DS underneath the cart on the passenger side. It has two connectors plugged into it ? see pic

Not positive, but it looks like an MCOR

OK guys another stupid question. Exactly what function does the MCOR perform? What are the components that make it?

The mcor is your throttle input. It tells the controller how far you are pushing the pedal. Its a sealed unit

An MCOR has two parts inside.
- It has a microswitch to tell if the pedal is pressed at all, it uses the plug with 2 wires.
- It has a potentiometer to tell exactly how far the pedal is pressed, it uses the plug with 3 wires.
