Default Where is OBC located? 2006 DS Club Car 48 Volt

I am really glad to have found this forum. I have learned a lot from reading a LOT of your posts. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. We have had this cart for almost 3 years with no problems but now I am ready to tear out my hair.

I have charging problems and have been scouring this forum for help. Plug charger in, charger buzzes for couple of seconds & circuit breaker pops. I tried the OBC reset but nothing happened, no buzzer sound.... nada, zip, nuttin. I tried the charger relay bypass with no success. Same results as before... charger buzzed for couple of seconds & circuit breaker popped. SO, need to try the OBC bypass and I found the instructions on how to do that but I cannot find the OBC. Any ideas? I need to know where it is in case we have to replace it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you take off the access panel on the back under the basket, it should be to the left on the northern wall

The OBC won't make the breaker trip, the problem is with the charger. Likely to be the rectifier or the diode pack depending on which charger you have.

Thanks Golfdog ... that eases my mind on the OBC.. those are not cheap. I have the Power Drive 2 charger 22110-11 shows date code 24/7 - I saw a repair kit on eBay that has bridge rectifier, circuit breaker, 48V power relay, thermal paste and installation instructions for about $25..... do you think this might take care of the problem? Hate to spend a few hundred for a charger if a $25 kit will work. Times are tough, ya know?
