Default Last battery going dead

Hello all! I have a 1998 Club Car DS 48V. We replaced all the batteries in March with brand new Trojans. Since March, we've had to replace the #6 battery 3 times because it keeps going bad after a few weeks. Something is causing a drain on the last battery. Nothing has changed in the system since we put the new batteries in. We've always had lights hooked up and hooked them up the exact same way once installing the new batteries.

Any ideas what could be causing this? It's getting quite frustrating.

Make sure that your charger is "seeing" all of your batteries. It's possible that you are only charging 5 of them.

Good call - it happens and if so then you are charging hell out of the other 5
The + side of the charger connects to the main + through the F&R. THe - side must go to the #6 battery - post.

to VA & Scotty!

BUT... on my 98 48V, I had a 16v to 12v voltage reducer tied to #5 & #6, it killed the #6 battery twice!
It was the last one in line, and it got the most use, it was difficult to keep my pack charged evenly with that reducer!

Just a thought!
