How to tell what gear ratio
A buddy pick up a 98 DS not lifted on 12" rims with low pro tires. The past owner claims 35 mph but I don't see the motor and controller to support it . Is there a way to tell what gear ratio it has without pulling the motor off ?

Re: How to tell what gear ratio
Put the cart on jack stands. Drop the pan. Mark a tooth on the big gear with paint. Mark the tire with a crayon. With a helper count the number of tire rotations it takes to rotate the big gear once. Do it a couple of times to be sure of your results.
