Ok, I just went and checked, my bad 88 (frame cracked in several places) has that piece.....my 'new" 88 that im working on now does NOT have that piece....maybe came from 2 different plants or something......I will say this, the frame with the cracks is not welded nearly as good in spots as the other one for some reason.....the round tubes on one just look tacked in and on my other one they are welded all the way around.......pics are here if you want to look.....

88 frame issues

Would be rebuilding but discovered many cracks through out the front end.
Is there any way the coils could be sanded or cleaned? I am going to replace the vglide assembly.

I tried to clean mine by taking them out.....1st one came out but the next couple were froze solid and I didn't want to break the board.....I got a rough scuff pad and went around them as best as I could, you can stretch them out a bit.....but doubt it makes any difference clean or dirty.....just curious, are yours the big coils or the small ones?......

Resistor coil differance?

Ok, I hate bringing up old threads, BUT, I have an update. After talking to George from Lester on the phone, we determined that my batteries are the issue my cart is not charging correctly. I am getting some "new to me" used 6 volt batteries for $45 a piece. Other upgrades I have aside from the batteries are, complete re-wire with new wiring, new battery hold down kit, and a complete front end rebuild kit.

Today I bought 25ft of 4 gauge wire at Tractor Supply to redo the wiring on the cart. The best part, the spool of wiring was $39.99
