Default Wiring for lights

On my 96 CC, the lights are wired so that the fused lead from the lights is connected to the positive of battery #5. I've been working through some issues with the cart and wanted to verify if this was the correct way to hook up the lights. I want to eliminate any wiring issues.

Thanks in advance!

Springer, if we assume the fused lead to battery #5 is positve then are we to assume that the neg lead to your lights comes from battery #6? Are we also to assume that your cart is 36 volt system? If so, A positive from 5 and a negative from 6 would produce 12 volts.... What is the question? What wiring issues are you trying to eliminate?

Neg lead isn't coming from #6. I'm 48v. I'm having charging issues and eliminating the wiring that has been added "aftermarket".

Thanks
