i see what your saying Jake but some have an avatar ... which means they took time to upload it .. spammers just advertize something quick .. i have often wondered about some posts that say some thing about a disability or hardship in the first post but realize that they are being open and need the help .. sure it may be a play on our hearts to help the down and out but its not selling us anything and we all have used the guilt trip to get help before

this i thought was spam

Yeah I would say that percentage is at least 90...

I noticed the avatar, so I figured it must be legit, just never seen anything like that before.

Sponsors pay to advertise so there post are not spam,, and to answer your other question about spam, 99% percent of the spam here at BGW the members never see, the 1% that does get past the Site Admin and Moderators will be removed with in a few minutes, so if those post were span they would have been removed, hope this clears up a few things,
