Speed code for cc precedent

Hi guys! I didn't buy that cool ds as there was a problem with the axel,

So I found a 2008'cc precedent from my local cc dealer and they want $100 . To upgrade the speed code! Is there anyway a can buy a programmer myself for cheap? And what are the benefits or having to dealer do it for me?

. . . $100 for speed code 4 is not that bad . . . you can buy a programmer (if you can find one) for many hundreds $'s more, but if you do not have the correct 3 codes to input into the controller to obtain speed code 4, you are wasting time/money and risk disabling the controller's ability to accept speed code 4 as it limits the amount of wrong guesses . . .
