Default Speed sensor epidemic

I'm in a campground with about 500 golf carts, I would say 50 of them are precedents. In the past six months I've replaced 5 speed sensors only on precedents, various years, not on any ds models. Last year I replaced only one sensor. What could cause this? That's over 10% failure!

Man I wish there were campgrounds around here allowed carts! At state parks around here, only the host gets to use one...

I have heard that the 2005 Precedents have a major speed sensor defect. Do you know what years they are?

Hmmmm, just a coincidence I guess...
Do all the carts run fine once you replace the sensor?

It's all coincidence. 2002+ DS IQ and Precedent use the same motors
