Shocks for Club Car DS with a lift kit
Yes I am going to put a 6 in All Sports lift kit on my 1999 Club car DS & I want to replace the shocks, but do I use factory shocks or ones from a auto parts store.
thanks |

Re: Shocks for Club Car DS with a lift kit
some lift kits come with shock extenders to use the stock shocks .. so i would say factory is good

The shocks are more of a damper. Stock ones will be fine as long as they are not leaking and you have resistance extending and retracting them. Definitely going to need extensions or a plate extender.

Just installed the same lift kit on my 03CC. Went with Monroe air shocks in the rear, but have yet to find anything but OEM for the front

The shocks I used were Monroe. They were for a '80 AMC pacer.

Many 70s and 80s Chrysler’s use this shock so I used a 1974 Dodge Monaco for a comparison and all sources said either part is an exact fit. $15 to $20 each seems a lot better than $40 or more from a cart dealer. |
