Default Newbie: pitch for golf cart ramp.

I'm a few weeks away from my car arriving, and where I'm storing it will require that it get over an about 2.5" 'curb'. Possibly this could work by getting a running start, but I've opted to build a little ramp instead. Can anyone recommend a pitch for the ramp, either in degrees or length ratio?

Thanks,
-lr

If that is 2 1/2 inches just a 2 X 6 laid down in front of said curb will work fine or some regular ole paver bricks

Larry,
You do NOT want to just hit that curb with a running start, it might well bend things in the front end. OTOH, as kgsc says, it won't take much of a ramp to get you over the curb w/o damage.

If the curb is truly only 2.5", the cart will have no trouble going over that. Just go slowly up to the curb, then give it a little gas, and the front tires will go right over it.
