Default questions about lighting

I have 2007 club car precedent with standard lighting kit and the lights are not very bright. Can I change the bulbs to a higher wattage bulb? without causing any problems with the electric system? If so any recommendations from anyone! thanks!

There was a post last week about HID lights in place of regular bulbs that wasn't an extremely involved modification

You could throw in some 886 bulbs for a little boost in wattage. They're 50 watt
