New batteries (protector?)
well the 88 pos toasterpro 9000 is back together (electrically anyway) and I put together a "test pack" in the floor to make sure it would run before I went and dropped coin on 6 new ones (didn't want to kill my back for no reason so I just jumped them from the floor).....anyway, it lives so I guess im off to Sams for some newbies....question is, what do you guys put on the terminals for protector?......I had that red spray stuff but its messy and didn't seem to work , my Grandfather always put grease on there. ive heard vasoline too....

Re: New batteries (protector?)
Probably what I already have.....was just looking for something I didn't have to "spray" everywhere and maybe just coat the terminals....

Re: New batteries (protector?)
well my thoughts on the grease is it will melt off , same with Vaseline... also very messy
if neatness is a concern then cut a template out and put it around your terminal and spray it... |

Re: New batteries (protector?)
I agree, cut out a template from cardboard or plastic and put around the terminal you're going to spray. Makes the terminal good and protected without getting the red stuff everywhere.

Re: New batteries (protector?)
well I wouldn't care that much that the red stuff is everywhere, it just didn't seem to work that good for me, still had a lot of corrosion .........but, March 06 batteries might have had something to do with that.....and a charger that wouldn't shut off unless the power went out.....probably that.....
