Post Deployment 9 months, how to preserve batteries?

About to depart on deployment, concern about batteries, or should I count on buying new upon return? These batteries were new Sept 2011.

Any advice?

Thanks,

OC

1 see if someone will plug it in every 2 weeks
2 buy a dpi charger and plug it in and forget it
3 charge it up and hope for the best

our thoughts will be with you !!!

Dito on the thanks!! Be SAFE and come home to your Family and this grateful nation.
In our home town there is a company who you can take your cart to and they store it and keep the batteries charged. Look for someone like that.
God Bless you Sailor!

go to battery minder, and pick up a battery maintainer, de sulfater for whatever voltage pack you have, top off with water and don't worry about it, all will be good with the maintainer

Give them a good charge, then take the cables off. When you return put the cables back on and recharge they should be fine. Retail battery stores sometimes have batteries on the shelf for up to a year. Keep you head down.
