is there a control that can replace the v-glide or do i have to just buy a new one?? what could cause this part to get that hot. i had riden about 10 miles.

loose connection, loose and or dirty connection.................possible short......you can buy just the buttons if you want or the housing with the buttons already installed.............is the wiper arm and moveable contact still good?.........all parts are available though.............................

thanks shadowman, i think alot of the plastic parts got so hot it ruined the unit, i noticed the other day the accelorator pedal seemed to stick when all the way to the floor, i guess something could be wrong with the contacts, to make it this hot, thank you.
