Angry 05 iq cart

hello, everyone trouble with cart for past month ,new batteries from sam's club. returned 4 days later because batteries never could hold charge. try 16 hr. charge time and never got over 48 volt. found Trojans on sale - $80 bucks more was a deal.power drive #2 charger had been serviced at a golf shop last year. put 60 minutes timer on side, father-in-law didn't like going to barn to reset charger. now charger not work - order kit on EBAY. 3 parts included in kit. test charger for voltage and battery pack. everything look good pack charged up to 51.7 volts. unplugged charger - turn key - push pedal down its dead. try find answers on here because i'm new to carts. voltage meter show voltage at solenoid, but no click, voltage at motor, had cart key on and tow/run switch on run. plugged charger in .By accident reverse buzzer went off - hit pedal everything works. Now cart only will run with charger plugged in .solenoid no click - charger clicks when pedal moves. Charger NOT plugged into outlet.to make cart run. father-n-law said i'm to blame. Can anybody help me .My head about to explode,

charger should be left plugged in until it shuts its self off
to get proper readings batteries need to be fully charged and then rest for 12hours
again new batteries need several full charges to reach full power
see attached battery guide

. . . you are saying that cart only runs when charger is attached to cart, but not plugged into wall receptacle?

Charger wasn't working as it should, just before we stored it in father-in-law's barn.so he took to a shop to have them check it. timer by-pass something. he hated timer because barn away from house. he worked on it but no luck. i ordered kit off EBAY.in kit was a rectifier - relay - circuit breaker. Charger works fine now. cart doesn't do anything.plug charger to cart and charges battery pack . with charger plugged to cart . everything works on cart . charger can be plugged into outlet - or unplugged from outlet.as long as charger plug to cart. only way cart works. where did we screw up ? SORRY for long story. hard to explain. i'm lost . start throwing new parts - till i find it?
