This "Modification" is no longer "Necessary". I still believe it's in your best interest to do this to your lifted vehicle because it gets the brake cables up higher and helps with the clearance, but Club Car has now released a longer driver's side brake cable to correct this issue. Please PM or call me if you need more information. Let's not clutter up this "Sticky" thread. Thanks.

Just installed the new longer drivers side cable. Everything is back to normal.

Thanks Dave!

FYI: It was by far the most frustrating thing to install. The old cable is a PAIN IN THE A$$ to get off. Those stupid locking prongs are not user friendly. The new one does go right on though.

FYI. They make a special tool for that. If you don't have the tool, you can use a deep well 13mm 12-point socket and hammer it over the end of the cable and it'll pull right out. I know, I probably should have mentioned that sooner. For this, I apologize. But I'm glad you got it put on.

Hahaha. I used the 13mm after I mangled it! By then it was too late. Wish I would of thought of it sooner. 😔

Does anybody know if this modification applies to an All-Sports 6" Long Travel lift? Basically, are the rear components of an All-Sports 6" long travel lift the same as the All-Sports 6" A-arm lift? Going on a 2007 Precedent.
