The worst part I experienced was removing snap rings that hold axles in but it was all due to crappy snap ring pliers...
I printed the instructions off from this post and used it as a reference... Its really simple. Glad I did it!
I'll film it next time I do it and post a video on my website.

Just finished the rear brake flip. The pedal feels much better and the left rear wheel no longer locks up. One thing I didn't expect I had to adjust the brake pedal almost to the end of the travel to take the slack from the cable and get good pedal feel. Is this normal?

Tahoedawg, I have 2012 TXT 48V and installing a Jakes 6" spindle lift. Will application work on my setup? Do you swap and flip the whole brake assembly?

I'm not familiar with E-Z-GO or Jake's..... Somebody more experienced with your application may be able to help.

In removing the rear axles, maybe 8 - 16 oz of gear oil dripped out of the axle shaft. Do I need to refill when I put the axles back in? If so what is the specific oil?

The Owners Manual calls for 22 oz. (0.67 liters) SAE 30 WT. API Class SE,
SF, or SG Oil (or higher) which is nothing more than basic cheap motor oil...

Thanks for the update, Teecro. Also, I know this thread has been very specific on suggesting a good set of snap ring pliers. While it would have been nice to pick up a set of Snap On brand for $32, I bought a set from Harbor Freight ($16.99) that worked just fine. Part #92374. It's an 11 piece kit, and the 8-1/2" 90 deg with .090" tips did the trick on the first try.
