Default Surging CC

I have a 2000.5 Regen II Cart, 6" lift, 23" tires, DCX 400, upgraded cables, solenoid, diode, and fuse. 1 year old batteries. I love the increased torque and speed, but when I replaced the controller the surging started. It only smooths out at full throttle or sometimes when you find the sweet spot. It is almost impossible to run the cart at low speed. The cart runs smooth as butter in reverse. I checked the linkage and cleaned the Vglide, but the problems seems to be getting worse. Also when I initially push the pedal nothing happens. When I release the pedal and press it down again the cart takes off. Any suggestions? By the way I love this site. All the upgrades to the cart were done from reading the archives. You guys are awesome!

I would disconnect the V-glide wiring at the controller and check the resistance while doing a sweep of the throttle.
You would be looking for an irregularity in the readings like it jumping high. Readings should be a smooth transition from apporx 5K pedal released to 0 ohms pedal depressed to the floor.
This is best checked with a scope but most ppl do not have one available.
Depending on how You wired it could be why it feels ok in reverse.
