Could be a faulty MCOR.
Have you done a speed sensor test yet? If not, look above in the stickies...

And welcome to BGW!

Is this photo (cart underside) showing the linkage for a V-glide or a pot box? Its from a '97 DS (this thread) where the owner was not getting full throttle throw. Not the same issue as this current thread of course, but maybe the same hardware with a different failure?

If you look in the battery compartment you'll see a pie shaped black box if it has a v-glide. The MCOR/Pot box would be mounted under the cart...

Whats the difference between a V-glide & MCOR? Would I still do the same speed test in the sticky for both? Thanks for the replies

VGlide

MCOR

. . . note that the VGlide has a mechanical wiper arm design with multiple contact points that regulate speed . . . the MCOR is a rotary pot design and more reliable . . .

V-glide would be on the driver's side frame rail under the seat between the driver's side two and middle two batteries. Looks like a pie/wedge-shaped black plastic box.
