I have a 2004 36 volt club car with brand new batteries in it. When i go to charge the cart the charger kick on and makes the humming noise that everyone talk about. In about 20 minuntes the gfi switch clicks on and it automatically stops charging does anyone have any ideas.

Re: Club car having charging problems
You sure you didn't put 36 volt batteries in a 48 volt cart? Charger will turn off if batteries are fully charged

Re: Club car having charging problems
. . . house breaker tripping could be that charger's transformer is overloading/bad or incorrect wiring in battery pack . . . and yes, 2004 did have 36v DS carts . . .
