Default Club car underwater

I have a 2002 electric club car 48 volt DS . Bought it from friend . Was underwater ( fresh water ) 2 days. Battery's seem ok I think . They take a charge. Turn key on press gas pedal hear click at solenoid let off gas pedal hear click at solenoid . Where should I start ? Took seat off and access panel to motor compartment . Should I remove motor and take it and have it tested ? First cart sorry if I seem not golf cart savvy ... Would like to learn. Any suggestions would be appreciated .

Year and model
I bet the controller is shot. You could probably put new bearings in the motor. Eventually all the wires will be shot because of electrolysis. This might be a good time to up grade to some bigger and better components

Welcome to BGW Yukon.
It is never a good thing when an electric cart gets submerged...
I also would guess the controller is shot, and now is the time to upgrade!

I would start with cleaning every connection and take out the volt meter and start testing

It's a 2002 DS Electric IQ 48 volt regen. The reason it was under water was torrential rains and river flooded campground .ok I was wanting to put a lift kit and wheelers on it trick it out so to speak. But wanted to make sure it was going to be worth it first. Body is flawless and has light already. Rear seat also. Only gave 400 for it. It should be worth fixing don't you think?
