Exclamation high torque motor ?

Just got quoted for motor from PQ . So should I get my motor redone or just go for the big torque motor? Sorry little info would probably help . Got a 2000.5 48v cc with back seat an 6" lift with 22" tires . Not looking to pull the front end up just need a little more going around the campground. Thanks in advance as always

I do not know anything about installing a motor. Just yet anyway, but I THINK if you do the high torque motor you will have to do the controller also. And cables. I would be surprised if the fellas at PQ did not tell you so.

amps = torque, so at some point to get all the torque out of the motor, the controller, along with wiring, solenoid, fnr all need to be replaced, also. talk to D&D motors just so you have more than one price on the motor

Don't think you will need the high-torque motor for the driving you describe. High-Torque will get you off-the-line faster and help with consistent speed on grade and small inclines, but my PQ Bandit rebuild has been in for years and is a perfect fit for my community driving and golfing needs, i.e., solid speed and get-up-and-go. With all the additional requirements mentioned by scottinfla I get +25 mph on the flat and can hold 23 mph on all my community inclines. This is a fun project -- Enjoy!!

Buying more stuff never ends as I see it. There's always a softer ride or a little more power.

Exactly!! The delay in the next project varies, but it will always happen.
