Default 36V Motor Vs. 48V Motor??

New here and need some input. Which will you get a better performance out of with a 48V source? A 36v motor or a 48v Motor?

If you use a 36v motor on a 48v pack the motor will spin faster and have more hp and torque. It's the best of both worlds!

Been there, DOING THAT!

I finally ordered a replacement controller for my burned one out of my club car, and I made sure to get a 48v, and ordered a 48v solenoid, so from the looks of it I too will have a 36v motor on 48v soon.

There's nothing like it!

Well, except for 60v to a 36v motor, or even 72v to a 36v motor. But I wouldn't go any farther than 72v. Who needs to go that fast anyway!

Thanks for your inputs, but I have bad news. I got my cart free due to
Ike, and when i pulled the motor last night it was full of dirt and water (aka mud). I sent an email to one of your site sponsors and i am waiting for their reply to see if it would be better to rebuild or buy new.

Mud and water is the best you could hope for in that situation. Take a garden hose and rinse it out thuroughly! And then dry it with air.....it may work? Do the same for the rear end....and basically all of it
