I say go for it too, you can always switch to 8 volts later with no money lost by going this route if it doesn't work. Keep us posted when you get that serial number, as well as posting up some pics!

Bsa_bob,
I've got the alpha cell 220's in my 3003 and so far they work great. I've got about 40 min of run time on the cart and they are still at 46v so the charger won't even kick on yet.
Just my 2 cents

Not much makes sense in this sentence. They work great but after only 40 mins they are at 10-20%? What do you mean the charger won't kick on?

What I meant is when the batteries were installed (fully charged) the we're putting out about 51 volts. Now after about 40 min of runtime they are still at 48.3 volts ( I just checked) thats not much drop right?
And the charger from what I gather, won't kick in until it drops to 43 volts or so.
What am I missing?
