Not at all, it was not meant as a negative comment.
IQ drive systems are fooled with a magnet that has half the number of poles, the excel system software does not get fooled and it actually malfunctions.
I also have an excel system programmed for code 3 so I interested in the results.

I'm getting exceited now. Just spoke with PQ and they are shipping out my motor today. Provided UPS does their job right, it will be here on Wednesday. I'll post performance gain as soon as I can. I have the cart apart right now but hope to have it all buttoned up by Thursday afternoon.

Just another update. I finally got the cart reassembled less the top a couple hours ago. I'm still waiting on the gator back coating to dry. The PQ motor and Enviro Audio stereo install was fairly painless. The stereo's right front speaker was not working out of the box, but I found a bad connection from the radio to the amp (telephone style plug). I got it worked out and it sounds really great. I would highly recommend it to anyone. For the money, the sound and custom fit is well worth it and or course they are a site sponsor too. Meanwhile, I hooked it up to the charger and am in the process of topping off the batteries before the first test run. I'll have it out late this afternoon and will report my findings.

Well, I couldn't wait any longer, so I took the cart off the charger at around 8 amps. A little earlier than I wanted to, but the guys in the shop were ready to get out of there and lock up. My flat max speed was 21mph on stock height tires and about 275 pounds on it between me, the charger and my toolbox. I also have the rear seat on it as well. Not quite the 24-25 I was told and hoping for, but I also really don't know the health of my battery pack as the cart is still new to me. This was actually the first time I charged the pack. I'm going to put in on a charge today until it completes, then let it settle and check all batts and get a run in after to really see what I have. So far, I'm still satisfied with my gains. It is still at speed code 3 (I'm not sure that is even still applicable with the PQ motor). It's a lot better than where I started.

With 21" tires mine runs about 28.9mph with fresh charges batteries
I think you should see 24 or better
I too, am still at speed code 3
if you do the speed code 4 to it also, and it gives you more speed, please let us know, I think many guy's are interested in finding out if it will make it run past 30mph

Maybe next month I will have mine programmed to speed code 4 and let everyone know

Good luck

How fast did it go before motor swap? That will tell us what speed code you were at. It might have been speed code 2 and you need 3 for the 24 mph even with PQ motor. Code 3 is free but you need to haul the cart to a CC dealer for it.

I was getting 15 using the same app on my phone I used yesterday (it rounds up), so my guess is speed code 3 is what I have.
