voltage reducer clarificating
I have recently bought a 2008 club car Ds 48v with 4 12v batteries. I will be soon adding a few accessories for hunting(headlights, 4x4 lights, and 12v outlet) I was wondering how many 12v attachments can you attatch to one 10amp voltage reducer. Thanks for any response or help to my question.

Re: voltage reducer clarificating
Get a 20a minimum, 30a to be sure and make sure it can be switched off when not in use. I prefer having a dedicated battery myself.

Re: voltage reducer clarificating
I agree, get at least a 20 amp. 10 amp is only good for about 2 headlights...
And don't forget, Amperage= Wattage/Voltage, so a 55w headlight divided by 12v is about 4.5 amps then times 2 would be 9... |

Re: voltage reducer clarificating
I have had the 10-15 amp units fail when the radio was turned on with the lights
That is why we only sell the 30 amp units. |

Re: voltage reducer clarificating
The heavier gauge cables allow for increased amperage flow with less resistance. This allows the motor to produce more torque.
