Default Re: Winter storage questions

Up here in the cold this is what we do to any electric cart. Top off water, clean the tops of the batteries and dry them.Do 2 charge cycles and flip into the tow position if you have one.Dis-connect every - or every + cable and leave for the winter. The colder the temps the slower the batteries discharge. This way no need to check the batteries or charger power to make sure things are working. The newer cars go into a storage mode after 30 days and will not charge. You need to unplug the charger and re-plug it in.This tells the computer the water levels were checked. Not sure about the ERIC chargers if this works or not. That is on the 2014 cars and newer now.
Doing this for 15 years at work with no lost batteries so far on used and new cars.
