Steering wobble
I've had this 05 CC Precedent for about a year now.. it had a rough life until then but is still in average condition (at best).
Lately, when the fam and I hop on to go on a ride, the first two or three blocks of driving the steering is ALL over the place, you can almost see the wheels move (steer) on their own. At times I have to slow down or the cart will "death wobble" and shake the back passengers off! Then all of a sudden, the steering is fine? For the rest of the trip it drives/steers ok. When we get off and back on again it starts all over. I am in the process of tearing it down this winter. I did notice a LOT of slop in the front spindles, both up/down and side/side. I plan on replacing the bushings (if I can??) to see if that fixes the problem. Either way it looks like they need to be replaced. What other items shold I look for? The tie rods seemed to be ok, not a lot of play in them from what I can tell. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Steering wobble
Could be a combination of loose front end and maybe steering box?
